Role Overview

We’re looking for a Software Support Engineer to join our growing team and operate at the L3 support level, working at the intersection of customer issues, production systems, and engineering. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys deep debugging, understands distributed systems, and wants direct impact on product reliability and customer outcomes.

You’ll spend most of your time investigating production issues, resolving complex data and integration problems, and partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and clinical stakeholders to drive issues to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as L3 support for complex customer and production issues surfaced through Jira
  • Debug and resolve production issues across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Investigate data discrepancies and integration failures using logs, metrics, and SQL
  • Work directly with engineering teams to
  • Identify root causes
  • Proposes fixes or mitigations
  • Validate resolutions in lower and production environments
  • Troubleshoot REST APIs and healthcare data integrations
  • Analyze application behavior in Kubernetes-based environments running on GCP
  • Write targeted SQL queries and lightweight scripts to support investigations
  • Contribute to internal documentation and runbooks as patterns and fixes emerge
  • Identify recurring issues and partner with engineering to improve system reliability and tooling

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical support, SRE, or engineering roles
  • Strong SQL expertise, including experience with:
  • Google BigQuery
  • PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with data visualization and BI tools such as:
  • Tableau
  • Apache Superset
  • Java/Kotlin
  • Javascript/TypeScript/Angular/React
  • Proven ability to dig into technical and data-driven issues independently
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and rapidly changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare and healthcare-adjacent systems.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based architectures
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
  • Understanding of application logs, monitoring tools, and incident response workflows
  • Familiarity with HL7 and/or FHIR data formats
