The Role

We're hiring a Head of Marketing to own and build the marketing function at FanBasis. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role: you'll be responsible for demand generation, lifecycle marketing, email strategy, paid media management, brand development, and performance analytics. You're building the playbook and executing it, with the resources and support to hire a team as marketing scales.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in HubSpot, has managed paid media and agency relationships, and knows how to build lifecycle automation flows that drive user adoption, retention, and cross-sell across a SaaS product. Experience at a later-stage company where these systems were already mature is a major plus: we need someone who's seen what great looks like and can build it here.

What You'll Own

Demand Generation and Paid Media

• Paid ad strategy and budget allocation across Meta, Google, and future channels

• Agency management: serve as the primary point of contact for our external media buying partner

• Ad attribution and performance analysis: optimize spend, reduce cost per acquisition, and report on ROI

• Funnel strategy: build, test, and optimize landing pages and conversion flows

Email, Lifecycle, and Automation

• Full ownership of HubSpot: campaigns, sequences, segmentation, list hygiene, and reporting

• Design and execute lifecycle automation flows: onboarding, activation, nurture, reactivation, and cross-sell

• Email deliverability management: domain warm-up, sender reputation, and inbox placement

• Map and build RevOps workflows that move users through the product journey from signup to expansion

Brand, Creative, and Content

• Oversee social media strategy and content calendar (execution handled by creative contractors)

• Develop marketing collateral: one-pagers, sales decks, and campaign assets (working with contractors)

• Build webinar infrastructure: landing pages, registration flows, email sequences, and follow-up

• Create blog, thought leadership, and educational content that positions FanBasis as a category leader

Analytics and Reporting

• Own weekly and monthly marketing performance reporting

• Campaign-level ROI analysis and attribution reporting

• Internal communication of marketing results to leadership and cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years leading or solo-owning a marketing function

• Deep, hands-on HubSpot experience: email marketing, workflows, automation, reporting, and CRM management

• Proven track record managing paid media (Meta, Google) and working with external agencies

• Strong experience building lifecycle automation and RevOps workflows for SaaS or subscription products: onboarding sequences, activation flows, cross-sell campaigns, and retention programs

• Experience at a later-stage or growth-stage company where marketing systems and lifecycle flows were already built out, and you understand what a mature marketing engine looks like

• Ability to write compelling copy: emails, ads, landing pages, and sales collateral

• Fluent in AI tools and how to leverage them across marketing: using AI for attribution analysis, creative development, sequence building, content production, and workflow automation

• Comfortable operating as a team of one initially, with the vision and ability to hire and scale a team

• Experience in fintech, B2B SaaS, or the creator economy

Bonus Points

• Experience with ad attribution platforms (Hyros, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar)

• Background in online education, coaching, or info-product businesses

• Experience managing a major product launch or go-to-market rollout

• Familiarity with Salesforce and internal analytics tools like Metabase
