About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst at Proxima will play a crucial role in shaping our platform as it evolves and expands its product offerings. This role requires a candidate who can effectively collaborate with all teams to generate and analyze critical data insights, leveraging BI tools, to help drive both product and business strategies. Your expertise will guide future investments in data access, benefiting not just the company but also our clients. You will identify areas for improvement and value creation, manage company OKR tracking, and have a significant impact on revenue growth through client interaction and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Apply sophisticated data manipulation techniques to streamline data processing and extraction.
  • Utilize Python and other analytical tools to deepen the insights extracted from data sets.
  • Develop and refine KPIs to better measure the impact of business decisions.
  • Use advanced visualization tools to present data insights in a clearer, more impactful manner.
  • Actively engage with clients to understand their data needs and contribute to revenue growth through insightful analysis and reporting.
  • Tailor reports and presentations to client-specific requirements, facilitating better decision-making and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Create compelling reports and presentations for both internal decision-makers and external clients.
  • Showcase superior presentation skills, making complex data accessible and engaging.
  • Work closely with the Product, Engineering and Sales team to enhance data access and democratize data insights across Proxima.
  • Contribute to data-driven product features, leveraging your Python expertise to optimize user experiences.

What You'll Need

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Data, BI, or Product Analyst.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a preference for experience in Postgres & Redshift.
  • Strong capability in manipulating large data sets and using statistical packages for analysis, with an emphasis on Python.
  • Proven analytical abilities with a track record of accurate and detailed information handling.
  • Extensive experience utilizing data visualizations and BI tools.
  • Proven excellent data visualization/BI skills and data visualization skills.
  • A history of developing scalable approaches to generate and maintain data insights.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Exceptional communication, and presentation skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • This is a Hybrid role - requiring 3 days onsite in our NYC based office.
