About The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading Proxima’s audience & targeting product efforts. You will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and refine new innovations for Proxima’s flagship product. In close coordination with data science, as well as the broader product and engineering organization, you will lead the prioritization and execution of our audience & targeting roadmap.
The ideal candidate for this role is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who takes initiative, is an excellent communicator, and can work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You should have a passion for data-driven decision making, experience with analytics and reporting platforms, be comfortable with AI/ML concepts, and a track record of leading the development of successful products.

What You'll Do

  • Successfully lead all stages of the product lifecycle from concept to delivery:
  • Vision/Strategy: You own the strategic vision for our audience & targeting products.
  • Innovation & Testing: You own what concepts and innovations are prioritized and pursued and work in partnership with Proxima’s media strategy team to effectively and responsibility test and validate those innovations.
  • Product Roadmap: You define and steward the audience & targeting product roadmap, making crisp decisions about what features and innovations move forward to full productization and in what priority order.
  • Execution: You drive day-to-day product development from concept through to release. Your product requirements are concise, with clear, measurable success criteria. You are known for your high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, deep understanding of the tech & the science, and ability to lead.
  • Technical Skill: You understand the architecture of the systems and technologies behind your products. You are able to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
  • Communication & collaboration: Your core partners say you are the one who brings it all together and makes it happen. You communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager leading the delivery of data related products in a cross functional environment.
  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge of advertising and marketing solutions leveraged by consumer technology and consumer retail brands, such as Meta/Google/TikTok advertising and email/SMS marketing.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing B2B Saas or technical products and features
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new features and tools
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • Sharp communication skills and the willingness to present your ideas to technical stakeholders and executives alike
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working directly on an audience targeting solution in the adtech and/or martech space.
  • A background in data science or data analytics
  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau or Looker
  • Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
  • Experience with machine learning to support model automation
