Fun, friendly, compassionate privately-owned (one dentist) pediatric dental office in central Austin searching for a Dental Assistant.

We are a well-established, fun, friendly, and compassionate pediatric dental practice dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care for infants, children and teens in a welcoming and positive environment. The ideal candidate loves working with children and their parents and has a knack for making them feel comfortable and at ease.

Your day-to-day might include:

• Assisting the dentist chairside during cleanings, exams, and a variety of pediatric procedures
• Taking digital x-rays
• Setting up and sterilizing treatment rooms and instruments according to infection control protocols
• Educating children and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques in an age-appropriate way
• Applying fluoride (and sealants if certified) to prevent cavities
• Managing patient records (experience with Dentrix is a plus!)
• Helping with light administrative duties like scheduling and answering phones

Qualifications and Skills:

• RDA license and CPR certification preferred but not required. If you are the right candidate, we will help you obtain the needed licensing and certifications to become an RDA.
• Experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
• Certification in nitrous oxide and coronal polishing is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor, especially when dealing with anxious children.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. Punctuality is a must.
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
