Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and team performance.
This position requires a strong background in:
- Cosmetic dentistry
- Implant placement and restoration
- CEREC digital scans
- Taking CBCT's
- Adjusting crowns extraorally
- Fabricating multi-unit temporaries
- And more

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the clinical team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient scheduling, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and performing necessary diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and medical imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend and DTX software and ensure proper dental coding for procedures performed.
- Train new staff on clinical procedures, equipment usage, and best practices in four-handed dentistry.
- Foster a positive environment for both patients and staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead RDA with a stable work history is required (if you change employers every 8–16 months, please do not apply).
- Ability to sterilize and properly maintain surgical and dental instruments, handpieces, etc.
- Experience with implant dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Ability to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and compliance documentation.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.

25–
30 per hour - Experience Required: Minimum 3 years as a Lead RDA
- License/Certification: Texas License required; Nitrous monitoring preferred
- Work Location: In person (Dallas, TX 75205)
- Commute/Relocation: Must commute or relocate prior to starting work
Schedule
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
