Overview

Our private pediatric dental office in Carrollton, TX, is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant with at least 2 years of experience. We are looking for a well-organized individual with great attention to detail, skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, and dedicated to making dental experiences efficient and pleasant for our young patients. You will join a collaborative team in a great working atmosphere, ensuring smooth office procedures and adherence to dental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families in the dental office
• Should be comfortable in taking digital x-rays for children
• Should be able to do coronal polishing on children (must be certified in coronal polishing or be eligible to get certified)
• Prepare patients for exams and treatments ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the treatment room clean and well-stocked

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as Registered Dental Assistant

• Understanding of health & safety regulations

• Experience with pediatric dental office is a plus

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like sealant placement is a plus

• Attention to detail

• Well-organized, punctual, trustworthy and reliable

• Must have Texas RDA certificate

• Monday- Thursday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Fridays- 8:00- 1pm
• No weekends

Compensation

• Salary: $18 - $25 per hour
